Damn. Damn damn damn.
I made the mistake of perusing the BBC News website and saw that Lily Allen is taking up acting - which is great, honestly: especially if it distracts her from making more music for a while!!
Unfortunately, my mental jukebox took it as a prompt and instantly started playing 'LDN'.
I say 'unfortunately' because, although I can sort of understand (maybe) why some people might enjoy her music, I find it incredibly banal and irritating; and it's especially annoying this morning as I was still rather enjoying the repeats of various Kinks tracks in my head after listening to 'Story of the Kinks' last night.

Maybe she took a leaf out of Dad's book and thought that acting was a better long term career bet (bit of a poor little rich girl backlash out there and pop's hardly a long term career bet these days).I don't mind her that much.Kate Nash seems a bit more 'real'to me (but I'm too un cool to know any better).Lots of pop stars think they can act though. Sadly some of them act and still sing (Jlo, nooooo!).
Who's Lily Allen?
Am I showing my age?
Cleo... um... you're probably just a very lucky girl. Or yes, you are showing your age - Lily Allen appears to be beloved of ageing DJs who think she's some kind of icon, and of Very Young Things. And possibly trendy people.
Whereas I'm (still) into stuff like progrock, the Kinks, Cocteau Twins and most New Romance stuff... oops..bah humbug
Sorry - Cleo was me Masquarading as Cleo... the perils of multi-dog-household-blogging.
Kerrio - and there I was thinking that Cleo had expanded her horizons!! Couldn't work out whether she'd be too old (dog years) or the right age (ish) (human years) for Lily Allen... :D
Who IS Lily Allen? Any relation of Lily Savage?
hehe. She's the daughter of Keith Allen, the actor (more recently known for his portrayal of the sheriff of Nottingham). You'll just have to Google her if you want to know more!! :D
